[Digital Download Version] A new addition for 2020 and as a follow-up to the recently released Third Book of Trumpet Solos, John Wallace and John Miller present this further collection of exciting ‘classic’ and contemporary solos, aimed at the developing player of Grades 4-6 level.
Following the international success of the first two collections (First Book of Trumpet Solos and Second Book of Trumpet Solos), and the recent release of the Third Book of Trumpet Solos, this new addition continues to expand access to interesting and adventurous musical content for the developing player.
The album includes pieces from a wide variety of composers, including Gershwin, Mussorgsky, Rimsky-Korsakov, Sullivan, Schumann, Mouret, Mahler, Berlioz and Wallace.
Available in a variety of other formats and combinations, including separate solo book in print format; separate piano accompaniment book (in print); and the Complete Package which provides both the solo book and piano accompaniment book (in print).
All solo books are provided with a download link for a full set of live performance backing tracks, recorded by soloist, Daniel de Gruchy-Lambert. These backing tracks include the accompaniment with and without soloist, as well as accompaniment at 75% of the speed to assist the player as they learn the pieces.
The piano accompaniments are a musical delight in their own right, supporting the player and enhancing performance through their sensitive crafting. The live performance audio backing-tracks help to enhance the learning process, enabling the player to fully embrace the music in context and through the guidance of the recorded interpretation of the works by trumpet soloist, Daniel de Gruchy-Lambert.
Progressively sequenced, the pieces reflect the technical and musical experience equivalent to ABRSM or Trinity College London, Grades 4-6.
As with the previous volume, this Fourth Book of Trumpet Solos is also aimed at cornet and flugelhorn, recognising the enduring popularity of those instruments in Great Britain, and their renaissance in those parts of Europe and the Nordic Countries which have embraced the British Brass Band model. The professional careers of John Wallace and John Miller collectively span more than a 100 years, and they believe this collection of solos will provide you, your teacher and your peers with something engaging to enjoy, practice and perform – supporting and developing the pathway of your musical journey.
